Read the manual and install the batteries. For ear models, attach a new hygiene cap, select the correct age range where available, position the probe snugly in the ear canal and press the measurement button. For no-touch models, aim at the centre of a clean, dry forehead at the distance indicated by the device. Repeat only after the recommended interval and clean the unit as directed.
